A 3-week startup mentorship and pitch competition designed to help student entrepreneurs turn their ideas and businesses into stronger, more investable ventures.
What is The ADABAH Startup Challenge?
The ADABAH Startup Challenge is a student-focused entrepreneurship programme that gives aspiring founders and student entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their businesses, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, receive practical mentorship, and compete for a cash prize.
The programme will culminate in a live pitch competition where selected participants will present their ventures to a panel of judges, entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
This is not just about having a great idea.
It is about building something real, knowing your numbers, understanding your customers, and learning how to communicate why your business deserves to grow.

How It Works
Submit Your Venture
Submit your startup or business for consideration through the online application. Applications will be reviewed based on the strength and potential of each venture.
Cohort Onboarding
A group of promising student entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in the programme. Selected participants will receive further information about the mentorship programme and final pitch.
3-Week Structured Curriculum
Participants will take part in a structured three-week programme designed to strengthen their ventures and prepare them for the final pitch. Sessions will cover:
Live Stage Competition
After the mentorship programme, finalists will pitch their ventures live before a panel of judges. Participants will have a limited amount of time to present their businesses and defend their ideas before the judges. The final pitch will assess the strength, potential and viability of each venture.
THIS IS WHERE IDEAS MEET THE REAL WORLD.
Finalists will be challenged to clearly communicate their problem, solution, target market, business model, competitive advantage, progress, growth potential, and why they deserve to win.
The judges will not only be looking for impressive presentations. They will be looking for businesses worth betting on.
Judging Criteria
Participants will be evaluated based on 8 key areas:
How important and clearly defined is the problem being addressed?
How effectively does the product or service solve the problem?
Is there a clear and meaningful market for the venture?
How does the business make money, and is the model sustainable?
What progress has the venture made so far?
What makes the solution different or valuable?
Does the venture have the potential to grow?
How clearly and convincingly does the founder communicate the opportunity?
GH₵3,000 CASH PRIZE
The winning startup will receive GH₵3,000 alongside the opportunity to gain exposure, connections and continued support through the ADABAH Startup Challenge ecosystem.
